How much tweaking/tuning do you do to pens under review? I haven’t had a YAFA-distributed pen that was worth a $3 Jinhao. Two Monteverdes and a Conklin were all bad. One Monterverde was made workable after repeated flushing/nib alignment but the other is a scratchy, almost useless pen and the Conklin sleeve filler never wrote.

I try not to do any tuning. If I do, I say so in the video. My experience with these pens hasn’t been great either.
