With all the new flex nibs hitting the market recently, I thought I would compare the Aurora 88 with the brand’s new 14k “vintage flex” nib, the Franklin-Christoph Model 66 with the new 14k flex nib, and the good old classic Pilot Falcon (metal body) with 14k flex nib. Let’s see how these three nibs fare face-to-face.
The OMAS 360 Magnum is one of my favourite pens ever, but how does it stack up to the newer version (I think OMAS referred to it as the “vintage” version, to distinguish it from the redesigned 360 model, which is a completely different pen that doesn’t have the pronounced triangular design)?
In this Shootout, let’s have a look at two affordable stub nibs, on the Conklin Duragraph and the Monteverde Intima. Both pens were donated by the Goulet Pen Co, but of course all opinions expressed are my own.
Another shootout! The OMAS Arte Italiana Paragon (black, 18KT fine nib) vs. the OMAS Arte Italiana Milord (arco celluloid, 18KT broad nib). See individual rewiews here: the OMAS Paragon, and the OMAS Milord.
