Let’s compare two pens with the same cool filling system by the same brand. The Koloro was sent to me by Pen Chalet; the Demonstrator was sent to me by Goldspot – thanks a lot! You can check out the full reviews of these pens, if you like: Opus88 Koloro and Opus88 Koloro Demonstrator.
I thought it would be interesting to compare the writing experience of these two Kaweco pens. I know a plastic Sport would have made more sense, but I didn’t have access to one – so this will have to do.
With all the new flex nibs hitting the market recently, I thought I would compare the Aurora 88 with the brand’s new 14k “vintage flex” nib, the Franklin-Christoph Model 66 with the new 14k flex nib, and the good old classic Pilot Falcon (metal body) with 14k flex nib. Let’s see how these three nibs fare face-to-face.
The OMAS 360 Magnum is one of my favourite pens ever, but how does it stack up to the newer version (I think OMAS referred to it as the “vintage” version, to distinguish it from the redesigned 360 model, which is a completely different pen that doesn’t have the pronounced triangular design)?
In this Shootout, let’s have a look at two affordable stub nibs, on the Conklin Duragraph and the Monteverde Intima. Both pens were donated by the Goulet Pen Co, but of course all opinions expressed are my own.
